He is the Peter Pan of pop music. Now, Sir Cliff Richard has revealed some of the secrets to his apparently eternal youth.
The 72-year-old, about to embark on another UK tour – 55 years after his first hit single, admits to taking nine tablets a day and using hair dye to keep the effects of old age at bay.
In an interview, Sir Cliff, who spends the winter at his six-bedroom villa in Barbados, switching to his vineyard retreat in Portugal for the summer, also said he moisturised daily to keep his skin looking young.
“I know I can’t look 18 any more, so I do what I can,” he said.
He said that when he used to appear on Top Of The Pops, the make-up assistants would recommend products which were good for his skin.
